With GUTEX Pyroresist, the company presents a non-smouldering wood fibre insulation board that is also classified as flame-retardant according to DIN EN 13501-1 in Euroclass C-s1, d0. Compared to conventional wood fibre-based insulation boards in Euroclass E, GUTEX Pyroresist can be used in new applications, including façade insulation in multi-storey timber construction in building classes 4 and 5. For demanding timber constructions with high fire protection requirements, planners, trade and craftsmen can fall back on the fire-retardant alternative from GUTEX - thus, in ecological construction, even greater safety is possible in addition to the aspect of comfort. The new insulation board also convinced the top-class jury of the Innovation Award of the State of Baden-Württemberg. Further awards followed, such as the Architecture+Building Innovation Award and the Woody Award in Gold. The awards confirm that wood fibre insulation materials are not only ecological and create a pleasant living climate, but also convince in terms of fire protection.
