Information

ANIMALS is the code name for a confidential partnership between Atelier SEDAP and designer Didier CORNILLE. It is a collection of wall lamps in fiberglass-armed plaster, inspired by the animal world, and intended for the niche markets "pediatrics", "schools" and "nurseries". This kind of offer remains weak on the market and specifiers are constantly looking for standardized and efficient luminaires. Didier Cornille worked on warm light and reassuring forms to design luminaires particularly suited to these markets. He thus developed 4 models: Cat, Fox, Bear and Wolf. For several years, Didier Cornille has been developing projects with Atelier Sedap based on the technical molding capabilities of Atelier SEDAP and his knowledge of lighting. ANIMALS is a collection of 4 LED wall lamps with round and welcoming shapes, currently under prototyping. The creation of ANIMALS participates in the labeling of Atelier Sedap by the French Ministry of Economy as "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (EPV). CV Didier Cornille: Didier Cornille is an artist designer specializing in the design of works of art and furniture. He was a pupil of Claude Courtecuisse while studying at the Beaux-Arts in Lille, before integrating Decorative Arts in Paris to embark on a career as a designer. He started by creating lamps with Atelier SEDAP, and worked for the Néotù gallery. He is the author of two children's books published by Hélium Mini Maxi and Bon voyage, two book-objects that play with words and forms. At the same time, Didier Cornille teaches design at the Beaux-Arts in Le Mans. He was first a professor at the Fine Arts in Tunis before teaching at Le Mans and Tourcoing. Today he lives and works in Paris where he continues to teach at ISAA Paris.
