Balsan Unveils First Floor Tile Range Inspired by Haute-Couture: Carré Couture. Balsan taps into its tradition of excellence and French savoir-faire to develop its new product range: Carré Couture. Building on its previous French Couture collection, this new range of innovative flooring tiles draws inspiration from patterns found in lacings, embroidery and fishnet stockings. More than 20 designs have been developed in total, some very elaborate, others almost in plain colours. The range introduces a major innovation: transition tiles. One half patterned, the other in plain colour, these tiles open up a whole horizon for creative composition. Used as transitions, they are the perfect solution to seamlessly ease from one pattern to another or to establish natural boundaries within an open floor plan by creating a rug effect or more original partitions. The Carré Couture collection uses the advanced Mbrodery technology: an innovative tufting process developed for the textile flooring industry, which allows manufacturers to produce elaborate motifs with great detail. The Mbrodery technology combines the advantages of boundless creative flexibility, subtle designs and exceptional resilience. Manufactured from recycled raw materials for lower environmental impact, the new line uses Econyl® yarn, produced from old fishing nets. Available in three sizes: 50x50cm tiles, 1x1m tiles (new) and rolls (4m). The product can accommodate any creative needs, depending on inspirations and total surface.
